JUNE 2010
MARCH RECAP
Choosing not to look at artwork until it's inked might seem a little unwise. However in Gabe's studio we have complete faith in his incredible freehand work. With an understanding of the elements I required, Gabe put together a sweet piece to finally complete the left arm.
PLASTIC PERFORMANCE
Who would have thought the Lego recreation could inspire as much annoyance as the actual match?
ENGLAND 1. U.S.A. 1 (GIFTED)
Not exactly the best result to signal the triumphant return to the blog. Especially as I got all tarted up in a fancy white and red outfit and custom England shirt only to see the ball virtually palmed into our own net! Phone nearly blew up from dear friends on the other side of the pond doing their best to rub it in. I am quite sure this disaster will only make Algeria's annihalation even more spectacular. I suggest we adopt "monkey rush" for the next match however..
THE RETURN!
It's been a long time. A health dose of hard work and in all honesty, far too much nosh on the plate to sit down and fiddle about with a blog day and night. After the ankle drama, thinking I'd never run again and all the strengthening work that went into getting the fast footwork back, sitting down was quite possibly the last thing on the mind. Never again will I take walking, running or standing up in general for granted (unless it's a particularly long queue in a particularly wretched supermarket where a customer in front insists on engaging in meaningless conversation with the cashier to the annoyance of everyone else in line).
